Hi,

I am on the verge of going to my local dealer to order a new 2010 TDI Golf. I've been able to find the invoice pricing for everthing EXCEPT the following options:

1. Onyx Silver 17" wheels (MSRP is $1340) Invoice price is?
2. Roof Spoilter (MSRP is $380) Invoice price is?
3. Sport Styling Kit (MSRP is $1228) Invoice is?

Also, a few other last minute questions about them:

1. Twin or Single Exhaust Tip Standard?
Every photo I've seen of the back of these cars shows a twin exhaust tip...does this come standard? Only asking because on the vw.com site, I see that it's an option included in the Sport Styling Kit package suggesting that unless you buy this package, the car comes with a single exhaust tip. Confused!

2. Rear Roof Spoiler Standard?
Again, as with the exhaust tip question...every single photo of this car I've seen shows the with a roof spoiler indicating it might be a standard feature but on vw.com, it's an added option you've got to pay for to get. Does anyone know definitely if it comes with this or not?

3. RNS 510 DVD
Does this COME ready and set to play DVDs or do you have to purchase a DVD player as an add-on after you buy the car????

Finally, both Kelley Blue Book and Edmunds seem to indicate that "people" are paying full MSRP for these cars. Is this correct? Is there no negotiating to be done on them due to demand right now? What do you all recommend?

Thanks!

I don't know the invoice for those because they weren't listed on the order sheet.

1. Dual exhaust tips are standard.
2. Rear roof spoiler is not included.
3. RNS 510 GPS navigation - I'm not 100% sure but I believe it plays movie dvds as is while stopped.

Thanks!

Figured it was worth asking about those items here since this seems to be ground zero for VW TDI info (which I GREATLY appreciate:)

Did you have any thoughts on what I've been seeing as far as people paying MSRP for the 2010 Golf TDIs?

To the best of your knowledge, is that the reality out there? Would you recommend paying MSRP or would you try to negotiate a better price right now?

I ordered mine and the dealers I talked to (around Cincinnati, OH) said it's bascially MSRP or bust because of the demand. I have heard some other people around the forums here mention getting it $1000 or so under MSRP but not sure what markets they are in.
