Can anyone give me an idea of how long the clutch lasts on the mk6 tdi?
I understand its a dual mass system. Has anyone switched to the less expensive single mass flywheel?

It depends how you use the clutch.

Do you sit a traffic lights with the clutch depressed waiting fo the lights to change?

What is the mileage?

The Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF) is the worst thing fitted to VAG engines.

As I said in your intro:

This is a new forum layout with loads of bugs which have been reported in the new thread. There is no TDI Wiki at the moment or original similes. It doesn't show the car spec/location.

We Are Live - Community Feedback

This has been talked about many times.

I've made a pole which no one has posted in, there are a few votes and comments.

Do you like the new forum features?

Wiki pages have been restored as of 7th December, I asked where is the link it should be on top of the main forum.

You DO NOT what to convert a MK6/MK7 DMF to SMF unless you would like to rebuild the transmission. It will literally chew itself up. Google, you'll find lots of info on this subject.
