Camshaft wear and dual mass flywheel noise

I have a 2006 Jetta TDI at 93,000 and a 2004 Pasat TDI at 120,000 miles both with camshaft wear.

Timing belt maintenance is due on the 2006 Jetta TDI. The cam is showing wear on one lobe. The dual mass flywheel is making rattle noise, more pronounced during slight engine roughness when cold. The transmission oil change is due. The EGR valve is on backorder. The engine has a slightly different sound described by others as “more agriculturalâ€￾ or “more truck likeâ€￾.

Besides the noise do you think DM-flywheel an urgent problem due to safety issues or high likelihood to grenade the motor/transmission?

I am wondering if I should just replace the timing belt and “wait it outâ€￾ for the cylinder head or do the camshaft now? I understand that I potentially still face a complete head at 140,000+ due to injector bore wear?
