Does anyone played with the cam degree in the Tdi ?

i usualy work with gas motor (BMw M10, Alfa's mostly) and often get adjustable cam gear to advance cam timing 2-4 degree to lower the rpm power band a litle...does this has the same effect on the Tdi ? the fact that the cam gear on the tdi is non-sloted would makes it very easy...

fwiw i know exactly how to set the cam using the lock tools,...

Well I've read of people fitting race cams but wether they actually effect the timing or just the lift I don't know, you could always be a gineau pig and let us know how you get on:D I'm all for a bit of tuning:)

No, but how much lower do you want the power band to be, it's already right at where you drive:dunno

Plus, since you are already chipped, larger injectors would be the next logical step.

I think he's talking about adjusting the variable valve timing which I don't think VW use but I don't mind being corrected.
