In the "2005.5-2006 VW Jetta TDI timing belt job - part 1- removal (BRM engine)"
show how to remove the engine mount. I just wonder is this a must step or optional. Can anyone help to clarify this step ?
I'm 95% sure yes. You can slip the belt off but I don't think there's clearance to replace the rollers and water pump. I think you might be able to slip the belt off but it's a moot point since the rollers and water pump should be replaced.
