I was just wondering if anyone in the UK, GB has ever heard of a place called Walli Breakers, based in Greater Manchester?

I got a reply from a guy off of Gumtree in response to an ad for an engine that I'd placed.. a guy from Walli Breakers who said he could ship me an engine from their depot in Essex for £325 to Belfast.

I've did a search online and can find nothing to do with the existence of a Walli Breakers. The guy wanted paid in cash via bank deposit as they had a shipment to Belfast today and a payment by credit card wouldn't clear on time.. errr, doesnt Credit Card payments go through right away??

Anyways, he said he would get the engine sent to Belfast and would hold it at a depot in Belfast awaiting payment before delivery. I got a text today giving me a 0844 number to call their sales team to arrange payment so the engine can be delivered.

What do you guys think? :dunno

I ended up "ordering the engine to be delivered" with agreement to pay after it was shipped, (with no intentions of paying unless the engine magically appeared), and hearing that this was acceptable I immediately realized they were full of sh*t.

Heard nothing more from them at all after that and surprisingly the engine delivery never materialised.

I bought a PD engine from VAS-NI (VW Audi Spares) in Magherafelt for £375 and got my car back on the road within 48 hours.
