Hello,
For some reason in my 09 tdi when you come to a stop and put on the brakes, and then release them. They hold the car back for about a second and then abruptly release and the car starts drifting. Anyone delt with this

Perhaps the slider pins on the brake carrier are sticking? Here is a picture of a similar car:

If they are somehow bent or seized, it can cause the brake caliper to stick. However, since the car is probably still under warranty I would have the dealer inspect them as well.
