No, as long as wheel offset is about stock, .5" won't do anything and you don't even need to increase the tire size since they usually have some play.

Wider tires will decrease fuel economy slightly and (everything else being equal), increase dry handling and increase hydroplaning tendencies. (the wider a tire is the more it will float).

You can use the tire -gearing calculator in the FAQ to calculate any changes.

installed new borbet wheels

installed new borbet wheels today fit was good, but there is a slight knocking sound
in the front end when i hit a bump or dip in the road . The car sharply with no rubbing.
When i look under the front end i see nothing . not sure what it could be:
