This is the 12 cylinder engine. It'll be interesting to see what the price ends up as but this was a $94,000 car when new.

Where would you get them serviced? You have to waiting to see what the final bid is. They normally run up in the last minute.

Well it ended at $28,800. It looks like ebay prices for similar Audi A8 with *only the V8 engine are around $18-20,000. Maybe it wasn't such a great deal.

I can't believe that he got an engine for $8000. I've never even heard of the W12 until this. I would expect a replacement W12 engine to cost at least twice as much as a VR6.:thumbsup
