B5 Passat alarm/immobilizer problems

Howdy,

I own a B5 Passat 1.8t, and have recently come accross an issue to do with the immobilizer or alarm system. I can't get it to shut off! I have disassembled the locking mechanism to check the microswitches, but each of them is fine. The car wont shut off the alarm, even when I unlock the door manually with my only key (valet key). The only other thing I can think of is the CCM. Where would it be located? I have no passenger-side lock, so would it be under the driver's side?:dunno

Hi, I can't see anything specifically for the passat but it might be worth a look here.

Good guess. That is most likely an alarm relay or CCM problem.
