gidday, have a 2000 t4 tdi auto 190,000 k with several issues. Power seems low at times but economy seems reasonable at 860 km to 82 litres. have changed vacuum lines and checked out egr intake but that looked clear. Checked turbo actuator and that only seems to travel away from the vacuum unit. Exhaust manifold has a slight ticking leak which does not help either.
Have yet to replace air filter (looks interesting) and fuel filter under antilock brake unit (looks even more interesting) presume headlght removal is required to achieve this? Also will be replacing cam belts and performing trans service. Bought this vehicle to convert to a camper and to tow a 21' trailable yacht. I am now wondering are these 01P transmissions up to the job or would a manual be better.
Excellent forum.
Regards Leigh

Without knowing the specifics of your model since we didn't have transporter TDI in North America, I am guessing that you don't have to remove the headlight, there must be a trick to removing the filters since that seems like overkill.
