I have a question - why do you have 2 blown motors?
Well you can take blown motors in two ways.

1. The motors have blown up and need rebuilding.

2. The TDI is a blown motor because of the turbocharger. :nana2: ;)

Well, the Golf dropped a valve (sheared the bucket off) after 180,000 miles and the Jetta over heated so bad it melted the plastic guard inside the valve cover into the valve springs, oil passages and locked the crank. Between the two engines and a new head I was able to rebuild the ALH in the Jetta.
