What a great site for people that want to learn more about the cars. My wife and I have 2 TDIs a 1996 Passat and a 1999 Jetta. I am real intrested in the Timing belt change procedures, I have seen here. Good detail. I am fairly mechanal. But not sure I want to try the timing belt changes.

It's not very hard. It's certainly easier than the later cars because you don't have to touch the motor mount. But I would clean the engine bay before starting.
