Hi all, getting in a post to gain access to the additional articles. I've got a 1999.5 Golf TDi that's in Limp Mode. I've replaced the MAF and cleaned the snow screen so far. My mechanic replaced my vacuum lines and put on a rebuilt wastegate for my Turbo, but no change yet. I'm considering replacing the N75, but looking at the article here I might have some less expensive things to try first.

Try isolating the VNT actuator from the turbo vanes. There's one article about changing your VNT actuator, try that one. You do need a hand vacuum pump w/gauge but they are really cheap (about $10). I am not aware of where you can buy rebuilt wastegates of this type.
