This thing is probably the ultimate value in supercars:

They modify a z06 aluminum chassis and put in a supercharged v8 and beefed up the drivetrain to handle all the power. 620 horsepower and 595 ft lbs of torque, and under 100,000. For that price, you are getting a skyline after dealer markup...although I suppose there'll be quite a markupon the zr1 too!

Why not just buy a $50,000 corvette and put a $3000 supercharger kit on it? You can even add the bigger tires and bodywork for a few thousand more. You just lose the aluminum chassis and some body dress up parts.

That would be a lot cheaper but the zr1 is also supposed to come with lightened carbon fiber bodywork , stronger drivetrain components so you don't snap the axles. Plus, with all that power you are getting wheelspin...looks pretty sick though.

Now THAT's hot. I don't care what anyone says, the vette isn't a midlife crisis car, it's a great sports car.

....That people having midlife crisis buy :p

J/K, I agree that it's a great value, but fact is that most are sold with automatic transmissions...

Drool.....although for that price, you could get a used Ferrari that would probably be a lot more eye candy. I think both would be faster than 99% of the cars on the road.
