Alignment Specs MK4 vs MK5, and Semi Slick whine

I recently had Potenza 225/50/16 put on my 02 MK4 Jetta.
There is a pronounced whine in the cabin, even at low speeds- I investigated and found that the ALIGNMENT SPEC SHEET input they used was 2006 Jetta A5-- My question is, would this cause, or enhance the whining noise? More to the point, are the alignment specs totally different?

IS THIS NORMAL FOR SEMI-SLICK TYRES?
wOULD REALLY APPRECIATE ANY FEEDBACK, THNKS:dunno

Yes, semi slick tyres are louder. Wider tyres also are louder but your tires aren't that big or slick.

They specs are different : see this: http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q/multi/wheel_alignment.htm
Thanks, yes, they are different. It's their fault, go back and make them fix it. This will also wear your tires.
You might be able to see some uneven dust pattern or uneven wear if it's off. It shouldn't be too far off since it's +/- a few degrees. Maybe your power steering fluid is low or the differential is wining?

Thnx a lot- I thought so, just needed confirmation from a pro!

Probably should say they are RE 540s v92-!

Thnx 4 the advice- the dif is 100%, the noise started when I drove away from the tyre shop, steering is perfect too.

Potenza aren't semi slicks but they are performance tires. Summer only tires tend to also make noise.
It ocould be tire feathering or wear because of the alignment
