Hi. This is a nice web site.

I've done 3 ALH timing belts. The first one I found to be a bit of a high wire act.

My wife drives an 05 NB TDI. Is the BEW engine TB procedure easier, harder, or about the same
as the ALH one?

Its easier to do a BEW than an ALH, but the tensioner procedures are very different.

do be sure to read over and understand the TB change guides on this site. they are very well done.

If you have all the tools for the ALH belt change the only additional tool you need is the Crank holder whenyou do a BEW. This one tool should run around $40.
