If the car is not working for some time, the temperature (the sensor G72) intake air should be as ambient temperature, but mine is a difference of about 10 degrees. The ambient temperature was about 0 degrees and the air inlet temperature around 10 degrees.

when the engine is running what could be the difference in intake air temperature and ambient temperature.

That is when the engine is running? You're right when the engine is off and cool the temperature should be ambient. If the engine is running I know the EGR is pretty high so the exhaust gasses could be raising the temperature.

But I have same reading when engine is running and when engine is off.

Engine not running about 10 hours
Ambient temp. = 0
Int. temp. = 10

after driving about 100 km

Ambient temp. = 0
Intake temp. = 12

Is this ok or G72 is faulty.
