Well you give me the engine code and I will tell you what most of the fuses and relays control. There are supposed to be 4 fuse/relay boxes in the engine compartment on the Jetta. I presume its after 2005 as they didn't make the 1.9 TDI earlier, unless it a 2.0 TDI PD or CR or even a 1.6 TDI CR. Are there any markings on the fuse holders F1, F2, F3 etc, nothing on the cover lid? There isn't one that covers the Airbag on its own. The simple thing is to check every fuse in there if none are blown then its another fault you have.

It would be nice to see the year and engine code next to you car spec it saves asking doesn't it? ;)

My airbag light came active on my 2006 jetta tdi.I purchased a vagcom reader to check codes as I also had an engine code. I cleared the engine & airbag code. Since doing this the airbag one has not returned in 2 months.if you can locate someone in your area who has a reader try clearing the code first & make a note as to which airbag is showing a problem. It may never come back.
