This article deals with replacing the VNT actuator or how to adjust the rod when replacing the VNT actuator. It's sometimes called a wastegate just because it looks like one, is located in the same position, but it's function is slightly different. It also gets vacuum vs. pressure.

The article is mostly just the TSB which addresses this issue but I have added links to vendors who sell the cans and other misc pics and notes. It's an expansion of the article on dealing with limp mode.

Very cool videos - I remember seeing an animated gif of something similar. It was pretty grainy though and didn't show how the can worked.
