I'm wondering if it's possible to install the .764 nozzles in a standard 90bhp engine and will I be able to adjust the fuel enough to deal with them or are they just to big?

Too big... a set of 520's in a 1996 to 1999 1Z or AHU motor should be considered maximum, to control smoke. You will still have to bump your Injector quantity up to around 5 with the Hammer Modification and VAGCOM / VCDS, to control shudder and smoke.

Cheers, I actually spoke with drivbi on the other site last night and he reckoned these were a good choice and would allow further upgrades later, he did say about getting them set up correctly though or there would be excessive smoke but with the right set up I could get about 20 bhp without problems. The other thing too is that there are a number of different sizes with the 764 nozzles, I was thinking of the .216 ones and kerma tdi has a special offer on the bosio pp's til the 26th march

Well I'm getting the powerplus 764 nozzles with the dlc coating from kerma tdi for $249 as he has a sale on at the moment until the 26th march and I think drivbiwire is going to be doing the same so if anyone is interested it might be worth looking into it.
