I've got a 2005 mk4 BEW TDI. The first turbo blew at 90k miles and I got it replaced with what I believe was a quality german made turbo for $3300. I then got a malone tune and they were careful to limit the boost since I'm in Denver with a higher elevation that where the car was sold, Michigan.
Well Now at 117k miles I was noticing oil consumption and on the way to work this morning I started hearing an extra fan/whining noise that increases with engine RPM. I limped it to work.
Should I put in a third turbo? The car seems in good shape otherwise, and KBB is around $5800 trade in. I'm also getting divorced so money is about to get super tight. Maybe I should cut my losses and buy a cheap honda.
I do stomp on it while using the AC so maybe that's why I keep going through turbos. Has anyone else here experienced similar problems with turbos?

3300? Even with labor somebody topped the dealer. It should have come with a car around it.
