zweeks can you take a picture of the rear license plate light at night? I've heard VW may have replaced those with LEDs on the 2012 GTIs and Golfs.
You're right, the dealer should be able to do it. However, when I took my TDI in for its 10K service, the dealer said "no-can-do."I think that this can be changed using VAG-COM? The dealer should also be able to do it, but I think that they'll charge you for 1 hour of labor for a 5 minute job?
Just find someone in your area with a VCDS if the dealer won't do it for you. You're right, the dealer should be able to do it. However, when I took my TDI in for its 10K service, the dealer said "no-can-do."
On the 2011's in the trip computer there is an option to show "alternate speed" I think. This will give you km/h right above the odometer in the center display.I was just playing with this, and the MFI still displayed speed in MPH but the consumption numbers are in km/l. I must be missing something. I'll check the manual some more. Sorry.

No body kit - everything is stock for a TDI Tech Pkg. Not sure what you might have seen that looks different? I think that you'll see other pics over on VWvortex that might help??Do you have a body kit on the car. Your front and rear doesn't look anything like the 2012's I've seen on the dealer lots... I like the look of your car much better!
Sorry work has been crazy busy lately. I'll have to check the km/hr display.Thx TDIStevestr,
That solve my question and hopefully that 2012 is the same.
This description is spot on for my 2012 Golf TDI w/Tech Pkg! The km/h display is rather small, but it's there! On the 2011's in the trip computer there is an option to show "alternate speed" I think. This will give you km/h right above the odometer in the center display.
