2012 Passat TDI

Hi : New to forum , presently driving 2000 Passat want to move up to new 2012 Passat Diesel
curious to know if you could tow a small trailer [ 2500 lbs. ] with a front wheel drive
vehicle , and if I could , would the new Diesel Passat be capable ?

I suspect that it's possible but it's on the high side even if it's a braked trailer. It's definitely over the official tow specs so my recommendation is no.

I would go for the Touareg, it'll tow that no problem. 7700 lbs tow rating :D
