VW plans to overhaul the Golf for model year 2012 as the mk7 Golf

Already? It doesn't make sense to overhaul it so soon. Will they keep the new chassis? Or is this just another refinement to the current platform?

With the next Jetta coming in 2011, what are the specs on it? All I can find are test mules with no details.
