Grandpacliff, You have warranty running so it is a bit tricky for you. Weird sensor problems are often related to ground problems which affects sensors. Check main battery ground and also see if you can find the grounds for the dash / body computers which are generally brown wires and they will be connected to the chassis. Any corrosion on the ground points will affect the sensors readings. Find somebody with VCDS and get them to scan it and give you an independent assessment of where the fault code appears to be coming from. I had an immobiliser issue that was traced back to a bad ground after much money spent.
