Oh wow, I am so happy!

I can't wait for the 2008 honda accord diesel to come out! There will finally be an alternative to VW...that I can afford that is. VW probably already has very good interiors but some competition is always good!

Looking good! The accord is about the same level as a passat. Right now, the accord is a little more luxurious than the passat too. I've seen the new passat in person, and I am not happy with the "improvements". The last passat felt special, the new passat looks good, but feels like they made it cheaper. Which is not surprising, since they are decontenting the jetta and golf too.

But I will wait and see the accord diesel...knowing Honda, it will be good.

2nd on the decontenting. The last passat had an Audi level interior. The interior is what you see and touch. The new passat has a cheaper interior. From a design viewpoint, it's worse too. If they can fix the peeling soft touch material, than at least it will be a step in the right direction.

Saw an ad for this today, no mention of the diesel...

At least the chassis bugs should be worked out by the time a diesel comes out.
