2006 1.9 l TDI GOLF. Just bought it for my wife. Nice car!

but:
need block heater
What kind is recomended block or coolant? instruction pictures out there to install one?
and
would like to install remote starter. it is standard and TDI. can it be done? kit? drawings?

I believe the block heaters are only available in Canada so your in the right place but I'm sure you could get an aftermarket one.

guess things up here that we take for granted... i read the other post / reply. a block heater is a small stove element that goes into the block (back side under manifold) by removing a frost plug. I was looking for someone who has installed one on the 1.9 to know which frost plug to take out..


or would a circulation heater, which sits usually in the heater core return line and circulates coolant ands warms it up. they put them on the heater line as no point to heat the RAD. the engine thermostat stops the flow of warmed fluid to the rad.

as for the remote start system. good ones are worth the money so a was looking for suggestions as with standard and diesel it gets complcated
