2005 Passat TDI stuttering under acceleration

60k miles on an 05 Passat wagon, it will rev at standstill but stutters/hesitates under load or quick acceleration. Has gotten progressively worse over the last couple days to where its even noticeable at cruising speed. No codes and I'm not running biodiesal. My mechanic did a quick drive and look see and didn't think its tranny related but didn't have the time to really get into it.
Also, a couple months ago a there was some rodent damage that involved the turbo vacuum lines. Any ideas?

Also check the wiring. If they chewed up the lines there could be broken wires somewhere.
