Hello,
Did the camshaft replace, counterbalance shaft delete, but the torque converter isn't locking up. I changed the fluid at the time of other work, and will check make sure it isn't low when I can get it on a friend-of-freind's lift, but I expect I need to replace the torque converter.
I don't have anyplace suitable to do the work myself. I'm in Maine, but often go through NH, Mass & RI. I want to find a competent, experienced, and hopefully reasonably priced mechanic in the New England area that could do it.
I still have my old car, I could drive the TDI to wherever and take public transportation back.

On a separate note, if I have to get this together myself, any recommendations on where to get the torque converter.

Thanks,
Chris

His site says not to contact him if you're not in his local area. His sight does show the seal that goes bad on the torque converters and that the replacement ones have a seal made of a different material.
