I've searched the archives, but not found anything similar. I just purchased a 2004 TDI jetta with 67k on the odometer. I've noticed that the clutch pedal vibrates when not all the way to the floor or all the way up (in between only). Previous cars I've driven had similar problems that ended up being throw out bearings. Any idea what it is and how serious a problem it could be?

Previous TDI or previous gas cars?

Just off the top of my head, I think all my TDI have felt like this, or just the ones with dual mass flywheels. While I can't say if your vibration is normal, some pulsing with the engine is perfectly normal. I would think that a bad TOB would also grind with the pedal all the way down.
