I have a 2004.5 Bora wagon TDI BEW PD and will be replacing the turbo CHRA (cartridge); has anybody any experience with 'Turbo Internationals' CHRAs (made in USA)?
Is it possible to do this job from the top; as opposed to following the bently manual (21-12) and do the job from below.
If anyone has instructions it would be appreciated if you could post them.

Yes but you have to remove intake manifod. Take a look in the FAQ, mostly ALH but some BEW tips: http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q/a4/turbo-removal-TDI-engine.htm

Never heard of them but I would personally use new CHRA and not rebuilt CHRA. More reliable.
