Hello everyone. Just bought my first Jetta TDI, actually my first VW. Bought it with 143,000 miles and loved it intil 3 weeks ago. Went into limp mode. after following some of the posts here i tracked the issue down to a defective waistgate actuator. would not hold vacuume at all and made a crunching noise when we tried to move it. Just got the new on in last night from vwparts.com. any advice when putting in the new one as to adjusting? Would not want to damage the turbo..

The crunching noise could have been the vanes or some rust on the exterior. Make sure to replace all the vacuum lines down there while you're at it. They could cause the next episode of limp mode.
