:dunno I have a 2003 VW Jetta with the 1.9 TDI and it will not start after I repalced the timing belt

We need a tiny bit more info...

Did you follow the procedure outlined here (or on the TDIclub) exactly? Are you sure you pinned the injection pump properly?? (Many people put the pin in the wrong place) Did you manually turn the engine over a couple of times?

I'd get the engine back to TDC on Cyl. 1, put in the camshaft locking bar, check to see that the flywheel mark is dead on, then grab a small mirror and a light and look through the injection pump pulley to see if the hole lines up exactly with the slot in the hub...

Let us know if it truly is at TDC...

As well, how long was the engine not operational?? (I just want to know if this is an engine that has been sitting in place for weeks or months, so that the injection pump lost its prime and is now air-locked...
