my name is Gammie i have a 2001 vw jetta 1.8 t. the car wouldn't turn off earlier so i unattached the battery. when i reattached the battery the immobilizer came on and now i can't start the car. any help would be greatly appreciated.

It shouldn't be tripped but try this: leave the key in the ignition slot and ON for a half hour and see if hte immobilzer light goes off.
