I'm in sales and just want to keep my '06 PD Jetta reliable and economical. Got it with 67,000 2 months ago not it has 80,000. Timing belt time. "HELP!" I'm pleased with the handling and power my other sales car was a '03 Crown Vic retired after 265,000 miles. So I'm not happy with the room. But I can put up with a lot for double the fuel mileage.

Wow, that's a lot of mileage...FYI, also check out the camshaft, these are problem areas in these cars. See the FAQ for the inspection procedure. welcometomyturbodies

Thanks will do. Not sure if I will tackle the timing belt myself. More of a time thing then a difficaulty thing.
