Is there any sense that low SAP oils while protecting Catalyst and DPFs may not provide the wear protection for cam and lifter surfaces in modern diesel engines? If so, is it safe to add small amounts of ZDDP (1-2 Oz ) to a 5 litre fill in a 2.0 CBEA engine or will this compromise the exhaust components
such as the Oxidation Cat or the DPF

The components will be compromised with long term use.
