Would it be OK to do a diesel purge as a prime for new fuel filter?

Just wondering (if replacing fuel filter anyway) could I empty a bottle of Diesel Purge or similar into new fuel filter, completely remove and replace old fuel filter with new fuel filter and drive as opposed to hanging a bottle separate from filter and idling.

i zip tie it to the upper ac line, new rubber hoses into the can and take for a 5 min drive...

you may as well dump it in the tank that way.. the fuel return flows more fluid then the car uses... so... you will just push it all into the tankas it sucks fuel from the tank...

That's what I was wondering, thanks. (If it is OK to move/drive the vehicle on straight Diesel Purge)
