Hi, first time poster. I've got a 100,000 mile 2006 Jetta tdi that's way overdue for shocks. Pretty sure it came with the standard suspension; it's not a Cup edition or anything like that.

I'm considering using the strut kit from Blau Parts. They have two SKUs, one for the standard car, and one for the factory sport suspension.

Would the latter give me a better handling car, and would I run into any fitment issues installing it on my standard suspension car?

I'm guessing that the difference'll be the ride height - I'm guessing I'd better stick w. the standard suspension.

I did call BlauSport, but stumped the fellow I talked with. He took my name/number, said he'd check further & get back w. me, but so far I haven't heard anything.

My guess would be lower ride height and stiffer valving control to limit strut and shock and spring travel. My take is that unless you like the way stiffer ride because of more limited suspension travel, I would stay with the design of the car and get the more oem/standard kit.
