Hello, I'm a newbie to owning a golf mk4 and I just bought a timing belt kit. The timing belt has the M and when I looked at 7zap web I can seen there is a D and M version for an AGR engine. My golf is a 1999 2 door 1.9 TDI AGR engine and an import from Germany with vin#wvwzzz1jzxw268210. The kit was bought from a VW dealership and I am confident I got the right kit as I gave them the VIN#. It's just the curiosity in me what's the D (AGR 565 000 note in 7zap) and M (AGR 565 001 note in 7zap). I hope you can shed some light on this. Thanks.

It would be nice to know in what country you live... Could you read off the part number of the belt (and tensioner) ??

Those are the updated 160,000 km rated parts... what about the number on the large roller (it should be 038 109 244 M - again, rated for 160,000 km... not "H" which is the older model)

Wow that's very nice then! The other roller is 038 109 244R. I did not get the water pump from them as I read in the net that pump with metal impeller is better so I bought the Hepu pump. I hope that will last to 160,000 km too. Anyway, really greatly appreciated the help.

The "R" appears to be an upgrade(?) of the "M"...
