Skoda Octavia 2.0 tdi octavia oil leak

    Hi guys iv noticed a oil leak on the back of the engine it's on the (as you look from front of car right hand side), of the block round the back it's running down wards so what's in the area that would cause an oil Leake, defiantly engine oil too

    Any info very much welcome

    hi all only had my car under 2 weeks and iv noticed that there is a oil leak from the back right hand side of the engine after every drive its fresh oil, leaks all down the block onto top of the Gear box, is this a common leak ?? My cars under warrentee so hopefully going into be fixed very soon

    Just woundering if this is common no I should be worried bout this :(

    Could be the valve cover gasket if there is oil up high or the oil return hose that comes from the turbo

    Hi nar it's slightly lower the these 2 items :(

    Is it possible to remove the rocker arm shaft in the head without touching the timing so I can re torque the head back down ??

    Yes but both the head bolts and rocker bolts are torque to yield bolts and designed as one time use. When you say right side do you mean the right side as you are looking at the engine/transmission from the front? Can you post a photo of the area you are talking about?

    Yea right hand side looking from the front, it's below the oil feed pipe for the turbo Ware it goes round the back of the block
