I have a 2013 jetta sports wagon TDI thats part of the buy back and an 06 TDI that I will never get ride of .
Is it worth taking the VIII radio out of the 13 and putting it in the 06?
I like the blue tooth and other opt. it has ,But is it worth it and if so how much of a job Thank you

I would, it's plug-play. You just need to get the radio unlock code. I'd at least put the old radio in the new car since that has almost no value anyways.

The bluetooth will require more work. You'll need to swap the module, if not part of the nav, overhead console, and then make your own wiring harness. You should be able to find a wiring harness kit online.

    1 Radio unlock code.
    2. bluetooth module, may be under pass seat
    3. overhead console.
    4. You could try cutting pigtails off the wiring but unless you have a wiring diagram and want to be nice, just get a retrofit harness.
    5. Radio unlock code.
    6. VCDS to code it all and let your car know it's there.
    6. Radio unlock code.

No intent to hijack your thread. I have no idea if what you wish to try with the radio will work, however I was interested in why you feel that strongly about your '06. We have one also and have had three other TDI cars. A 2014 Beetle, which is going back, a 2013 Passat ready for the fix, and a 99 Jetta which finally died. The '06 has been our favorite.
