Hi I have joined this forum because I am about to do a timing belt change on my 2002 New Beetle. I have a kit from FCP in Groton CT. all parts in it are from Germany and the belt is a gates from germany. Does anyone have any experience with their Kit? I have changed TB on my 98 Jetta 2 times so I dont have any other questions yet.

    welcometomyturbodies Welcome to the website!

    I don't believe FCP's kit includes the single-use bolts for the engine mount and (more important) large idler that sits in front of the water pump... p/n N 905 969 06 for that critical one... several options for the 16-mm-headed mount-to-chassis bolts N 905 969 02 or N 105 167 02... the 18-mm-headed mount-to-lower-mount (bracket) ones are p/n N 102 096 03 or N 102 096 05.

    Have fun!

Thanks for the info my kit did include the big roller. I will get the bolts from the local stealer.

I meant the bolt for the large idler...
