Recently bought a very clean very nicely done Wolfsburg jetta with a 1z in it. Everything is perfect you would think it was factory minus the side pipe lol. The only thing is the accelerator, when starting out in first gear if I press it a certain way it stops or gets stuck at 1200 rpm. Only thing I can do is let off completely and 're press the accelerator. It doesn't happen shifting through the gears nor every time I start in first gear. Just curious if anyone knows what would cause this or how to fix it or if it's a byproduct of a certain pedal swap? Thank you in advance.

I know that if the accelerator pedal is bad, the car will prevent it from going above a certain rpm, a low rpm. Perhaps that could be the issue? Was the pedal swapped over? If so, check wiring.
