misfire number 1 cylinder

    It's by the timing belt cover.

    I'm sure I've read YMZ saying they doesn't number the cylinders in the conventional method cylinder 1 being next to the timing cover, this my depend on the model year.

    Do you have an error code for this missfire?

    I have a error code for number 1 missfire and glow plug (a) circut failure that is the injector that I pulled to check pump pressure so will take it out to have it checked then deal with glow plug circut issue

    What is that a 2000 model but which model please add the model and correct year to your car spec?

    VAG Error Code: 16685
    EOBD II Error Code: P0301

    Fault Location:
    Cylinder 1 - Misfire detected

    Possible Cause:
    Wiring.
    Ignition system.
    Fuel injectors.
    Fuel pressure.
    Running out of fuel.
    EVAP canister purge valve.
    Evaporative emission system.
    Low compression.
    Base engine problems.
    Engine control module (ECM).

    Special Notes:
    This feature search for engine misfire in a specific cylinder. Most of the time the cause for a misfire is a lack of combustion in a cylinder due to absence of spark, poor fuel metering, or poor compression.


    VAG Error Code: 16764
    EOBD II Error Code: P0380

    Fault Location:
    Glow Plug/Heater (Q6) - Circuit malfunction

    Possible Cause:
    No Pre-Glow Period.
    Poor Cold Starting.

    Wiring.
    Glow plug relay (J52).
    Fuse.
    Glow plugs.
    Engine control module (ECM).

    Possible Solutions:
    Check Glow Plug Wiring.
    Check Glow Plug(s).
