    Hi all,I have a few vw, mk1's,mk2,mk3,mk4gti,r32,g60 rallye,and some air cooled stuff,I am wanting to put a tdi motor into my 1990 transporter,and i whant to now how to get around the immobiliser,I have vag com,i do not have an engine yet for the conversion,any tips would be appreciated.

    Welcome! What year are the parts from? In the US we never had immobilizer 1, we only had 2 and newer which is built into the instrument cluster. Someone in the forum here had managed a 1 bypass but I forget how.

    Also, the ALH is probably the best engine choice due to good design and high reliability/parts availability. I am not sure how the 1990 engine moiunts up but as you probably know, the mk4 had the newer style pendelum mount instead of the sitting type mount.
