My work has necessitated a larger vehicle, so I bought a cargo van. I was planning to keep the TDI as a project/hobby car. However, I just can’t find the time to work on it and decided it is time to let it go

    THE GOOD:

    1 owner (me)
Bulk of mileage on the open highway
Florida car, NO RUST!!! Some sun-fade on plastic parts
Strong running engine; rarely needed to add oil between changes
Oil/filter changed every 5,000 miles from day one (1/2 of VW recommended interval)
New Garrett VNT17 Turbo installed at approx 225K miles
Cleaned intake manifold and IC at time of turbo replacement
Used Stanadyne Performance Formula diesel additive every fill-up from approx 90k miles to present
EGR delete (have all the parts it you want to restore EGR)
Complete suspension refresh, including TT LCA bushings, in 2012
New in-the-box Curt trailer hitch with Curt wiring kit
Good Yokohama Rubber with approx 22k miles on them
Last timing belt change at 200k miles (with water pump, etc)
Interior in OK shape; used seat covers most of its life
DieselGeek Panzer plate with Full Metal Jacket option
    Brand new windshield
Installed new foam on the HVAC mix doors last summer
Miscellaneous: NEO ProLink 3V9-BT car audio interface with Bluetooth for iPhone and MP3 players; spare set of Mann fuel, oil and air filters, plus a full tank of diesel and a yellow 5 gallon diesel fuel can included
Bonus!: Genuine Ross-Tech HEX+CAN computer diagnostic interface and Bentley Repair Manual

    THE NOT SO GOOD:

    Air conditioner inoperative.
Coolant leak. Thought I had it isolated to the coolant temp sensor. Replaced sensor, but it didn’t help
The lift-gate driver’s-side gas strut mount that attaches to the body of the car has broken off, so there’s only the passenger strut installed right now
Front section of center console is cracked and mounting studs for back section are broken off
