DSG transmission code GSY vs HLJ

    05 Passat TDI, 05 Beetle TDI, 99 Beetle TDI
    I have 05 beetle with DSG transmission per VIN code GYS W broken case needs replacement. Is code HLJ interchangeable with GYS. VW says they different transmissions.

    if vw says not same id trust them... things like gas vs diesel gear ratios and 2.5 vs 4 count... fyi.. its also tied into the immo/computer and what ever trans you put in will need reflashed by vw to work properly..
