I purchased a supposedly correct map sensor for my 2006 Jetta, it is not the same part, wrong size, wrong plug, I cannot figure out where to buy (cheaply) the right one. Any help out there. AMAZON says right fit for my car.
I know I can go to a dealer, but I'm on a budget. The car runs fine without it by the way.

    Thank

I looked at the link, I don't see the sensor only. The one with the housing may be correct. but I would think I could save money by just buying the part needed, the sensor itself?

I will double check with some other VW sites, Pelican, FCP etc.

As much as I hate repeating myself:

Do the math. Buying 2 or 3 garbage parts is not cheaper than buying a properly functioning part the first time.

AFAIK, you can't buy it without the housing unless it is poor quality Chinese part. In that case buy 3 and you might get one that functions properly.
