Sometimes when I turn off my car, the clock resets and the radio cuts off. Ususally on VWs, the radio stays on so why could this be happening?

I'm not really sure but I think I'd be checking out the ignition switch myself, maybe it's a bit dirty inside and making bad contacts unless someone else has a better idea.

Is the clock controlled by the ignition?

The clock is but not the odomneter lol, the odometer still displays the miles even with the key out. The clock definitely goes off with the ignition.

My clock has always stayed on when the ignition is switched off. Only now is it cutting off.

Yeh they both do but they're not lit up, I remembered to look when I was out in the car lol. There's some sort of back light that makes them more visible when you turn the ignition on but they're still there with the ignition off, just harder to see.
